Congratulations Jen!

I made this cake in honor of the impending arrival of Jen's second baby. The shower was a duckie theme, so here are Mama, Big Baby (who it seems is a bit cross-eyed), and Little Baby Duck.


The cake is yellow (made with my new favorite recipe) with chocolate buttercream frosting and covered in fondant.

Is there a twelve-step program for people addicted to candy corn? Maybe I could be the charter member.

Hello, my name is Sarah and I'm addicted to corn syrup, artificial colors, (FDC Yellow 6 Lake, Red #40, Red 40 Lake, Yellow #5, Yellow #6, Blue 1 Lake, Blue #1, Yellow 5 Lake), and carnauba wax.

Really, what is it about that waxy stuff that keeps me coming back, even after I have a tummy ache from eating so much? I have to say that part of the appeal is that it's so darn cute.

So, I've recreated the cute factor without the carnauba wax.
