Happy Half Birthday to A-Train

Can you believe it? A-Train is three and a half today. And that fills me with such life-affirming pride and such deep sorrow at the same time. He's an amazing little guy and I can't believe it's been so long since he was born. It seems like just yesterday I was holding him for the very first time.

Here at the Sweetshop we look for any reason to celebrate, and a half birthday fits the bill. Since A-Train's absolute favorite food is peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, I decided to make him a cupcake version.

This is a peanut butter cupcake-- imagine a really moist peanut butter cookie-- covered with strawberry jam buttercream frosting.

I have to admit, this might not be for the adult palette, but for the pre-school crowd, it's a huge hit!
