Nadia and Jason got married yesterday. And while I wasn't one of the 300 (gasp!) guests at the wedding, I did get to contribute to their special day.
They chose a small cutting cake resting atop a tower of cupcakes. As you can see, it's a beautiful idea-- not to mention how easy it is to serve cupcakes to a huge crowd.
Here's a close up of the cupcakes. Each one has a fondant M on top to signify the couple's last name. (I totally stole that idea off from my semi-idol, Martha Stewart).Nadia also wanted 300 cake pops!
Do you have any idea what 300 cake pops look like? Well, take a look at this picture and multiply by three. That'll put you somewhere in the neighborhood. The couple gave the cake pops as their wedding favors, which is a fabulous idea! Beacuse, really, who wouldn't prefer a cake pop (in coordinating wedding colors no less) to a little bag of Jordan almonds?
Needless to say, it was quite an undertaking. And, fortunately, everything went off without a hitch (no pun intended). Here at the Sweetshop we wish Nadia and Jason many happy years together.
